Nail from Crucifixion of Christ Found

Archaeologists believe that they have found a nail that dates back to the time of Christ’s crucifixion. This is a 12 centimetre nail which is estimated to be one of hundreds that were used in the Roman Empire during its rule. It has been estimated to date back as far as the first century AD.
The nail was originally found during summer of 2009 on an isle near the Madeira coast. In the temple which it was found is known to be a part of the Knights Templar which was a religious order that was a part of the Christian forces.
The conditions that the nail was found in leads anthropologists to believe that it has been treated with extreme care over the years, almost as if it were a relic to be cherished. The condition of the nail also suggests that it has been handled by many people over the years.
There is speculation among both archaeologists and members of the Knights Templar that this could have been a nail that was used during the crucifixion of Christ.
